We eat quiche quite a bit at our house. Everyone loves it, which is always a good thing. I like that it’s quick, easy, inexpensive and versatile. I almost always have all of the ingredients on hand, to throw a quiche together.
I have made sausage quiche before, but this recipe really takes the cake. My kids couldn’t get enough of it. In fact, I caught my oldest daughter picking the crumbs out of the pie dish.
This is great for dinner, served with a side salad and a crusty roll. Or for breakfast, served with fresh fruit.
I hope that your family enjoys it as much as we do!

Sausage and Cheese Quiche
| Serves | 8 |
| Prep time | 15 minutes |
| Cook time | 40 minutes |
| Total time | 55 minutes |
| Meal type | Breakfast, Main Dish |
Ingredients
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (softened as directed on pkg.)
- 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup half-and-half or milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8oz pork sausage, cooked (half of a 1-lb sausage roll)
Note
If you notice that the crust is getting too brown too quickly, you can cut a hole in the middle of a piece of foil and loosely lay it on top of the quiche, so that the crust is covered by foil.
Directions
| Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 9-inch pie plate with crust according to package directions for one-crust pie. | |
| Beat eggs, half-and-half, salt and pepper in large bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Stir in cheese, flour and sausage; pour into crust. | |
| Bake 40-45 minutes or until edge of filling is golden brown and knife inserted near center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. | |
