Farmers Market Trip: Moundridge {7/21}

I’m a little disappointed that I haven’t made it back to the Newton farmers’ market or to Wichita yet, like I had originally planned. Our weekends have just been so crazy busy these past few weeks. But, there’s still time. I’m hoping maybe next weekend I can venture out a little further…

I am very thankful that we have a local farmers’ market, here in town, that is open two days every week. I always find great produce here – and an occasional batch of cinnamon rolls or homemade hummus! ;)

Today I woke up a little later than normal (I LOVE SATURDAYS!), so my wonderful husband did the shopping (with the help of our girls). I only had a couple of items that I asked for specifically (cantaloupe and basil) and they chose the rest. I think they did great!

Here is today’s haul…

Cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, corn on the cob, zucchini, yellow squash, cantaloupe and watermelon.

Fresh basil. I swear, every time I smell this I want to immediately run home and cook up a batch of homemade pasta sauce!

I can’t wait to eat all of this yummy produce!
